WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren continues to meet with members of the 25th Navajo Nation Council, recently hearing more about the top priorities of Councilwoman Helena Nez Begay.
“Vice President Richelle Montoya and I are committed to working together with the Navajo Nation Council to get hard work done for the people,” said President Nygren. “Council Delegate Nez Begay and I share the same priorities to build new waterlines, electric lines, and roads for our communities. Plus the education journey of our students is important to us as we help all our young people be self-sufficient, resilient leaders.”
Councilwoman Nez Begay represents the communities of Coppermine, K’aibii’to, LeChee, Tonalea/Red Lake, and Bodaway/Gap, and sits on the Health, Education & Human Services Committee.
President Nygren will provide his second State of the Nation address on Monday, April 17th, at the Council Chambers – marking over 90 days in office.
