The report details notable accomplishments and dives into three of the Nygren Administration’s highest priorities: Infrastructure development, modernizing the government, and bringing a new leadership approach to the Navajo Nation government.
“Our administration is honored to present this 100-day report to the People. As I travel across the Navajo Nation speaking with our communities, I remain confident that the changes we are making in Window Rock will continue to create better outcomes for our People. This report reflects many of our key actions and continued progress for creating positive changes mandated by the People,” said Navajo Nation Vice President Richelle Montoya.
This week, President Nygren delivered his State of the Navajo Nation address to the Spring Session of the 25th Navajo Nation Council. The president’s address is available to download and view at the following link: State of Navajo Nation – President Nygren (April 2023).
During the discussion that followed with members of the Council, President Nygren described the 100-day report as a tool for promoting transparency and accountability for the next 100 days and beyond.
The report provides a high-level look at the days following the 2023 Navajo Nation inauguration and gives insights relating to the challenges and solutions the Nygren Administration is tackling.
The 100-Day Report rounds out a week of active outreach to members of the Council and the Navajo people. On Wednesday, President Nygren, Vice President Montoya and members of the Nygren Administration conducted a live broadcast on Facebook and on Navajo radio stations to provide updates on the rapid pace of progress during the first 100 days. Additionally, President Nygren shared the branch’s quarterly report with the Navajo Nation Council on Monday, ahead of his address. That report, which includes programmatic updates, is available here: Navajo Nation Executive Branch FY2023 Second Quarterly Report.
“I invite you to read this report and encourage you to get involved in your local community to help us find solutions and inspire change on the Navajo Nation,” said President Nygren.
