WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — The Navajo Nation has approved a 25-year business site lease for Arrowhead Canyon Tours, LLC (Arrowhead) in Bodaway/Gap, Ariz., supporting economic growth and cultural tourism on Navajo Nation land.

The lease, authorized under Resolution DEDA-347-2026 and certified by the Business Site Lease Approving Committee on February 2, covers 3.9 acres, including a 1.1-acre access road.

Arrowhead will develop the site for guided tours, hiking and fitness trails, cultural tourism experiences, and a gift shop. The Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development reviewed and approved the agreement to ensure compliance with Navajo Nation Business Leasing Regulations.

The lease term is 25 years, with two optional 25-year renewals. The lessee will invest at least $200,000 in improvements, including an administrative building, waterless restrooms, parking facilities, and solar panels, with full development required within 36 months.

The agreement also includes environmental, financial, and insurance requirements to ensure compliance with Navajo Nation laws and long-term community benefit.

“This business site lease for Arrowhead Canyon Tours, LLC reflects this administration’s commitment to investing in business development, creating sustainable jobs, and strengthening the Navajo workforce,” said Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren. “Tourism is a powerful driver of opportunity for our Nation — it creates jobs, generates new revenue, and expands recreation and cultural experiences that honor our land while moving our economy forward.”
