Yá’át’ééh shik’éí dóó shidine’é,
On behalf of the Navajo Nation, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families across Diné Bikéyah for a very Merry Christmas.
As we gather during this special season, let us honor our ancestors by remaining true to who we are as Diné people—by loving our families, strengthening our communities, and showing kindness to one another. May we carry a spirit of giving not only through gifts, but through smiles, embraces, words of encouragement, and compassion. It is these acts of kindness and love that make this season truly bright and meaningful.
I hope this Christmas brings you peace, joy, and time to be fully present with those you love. As we celebrate the traditions and blessings of this season, let us also remember that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”—Isaiah 9:6
On behalf of myself and First Lady Jasmine Blackwater-Nygren, we wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas.

Please have a safe, peaceful, and family-centered holiday season.
