Nygren News is now available in a digital format as the Administration works within current budget limitations to ensure continued communication with the Navajo people.

While the Navajo Nation Council has not provided the Office of the President and Vice President with an operating budget, I have approved $3.2 million, in the spirit of working things out, for the Council to travel and operate.

Despite these challenges, I remain committed to ensuring that our people receive updates from my Administration, while continuing to work toward finalizing an operating budget that supports communication, accountability, and service to our people.

Transitioning to a digital platform allows important updates and information to remain accessible while longer-term operational needs are addressed.

Nygren News serves as a key communication tool highlighting projects, initiatives, and services that benefit the Navajo Nation. This free publication shares updates from Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren and the Executive Branch, including information from offices that provide essential services such as social services, veterans’ services, and scholarship programs.

The publication also supports language preservation by including Diné bizaad content, offering opportunities for readers to read, learn, and engage with the Navajo language.

Through Nygren News, communities are kept informed about meetings, partnerships, and progress taking place across the Nation. The focus is on showing leadership in action by highlighting the meaningful work happening in chapters, schools, events, and communities, while promoting transparency and accessibility.

As resources become available, plans are in place to expand distribution to include printed copies for elders and families in remote areas of the reservation.

Nygren News remains committed to keeping the Navajo people informed, connected, and moving forward together as one Navajo Nation.
