As of yesterday:
Due to flooding, road closures are currently in effect in the communities of Birdsprings and Dennehotso, Arizona.
The following roads are closed to traffic until further notice:
- Navajo Route 71 from Leupp to Birdsprings.
- Navajo Route 6460 and Navajo Route 6461 in the Dennehotso area.
Please avoid these roads and use alternative routes.
The Navajo Department of Transportation and the Navajo Police Department are actively monitoring and managing these closures.
Residents are strongly advised to avoid flooded areas and obey all barricades.
We kindly request the public to refrain from moving or removing signs and barricades. NDOT has reported missing signs in some areas.
