The Navajo Nation Commission on Emergency Management has amended its emergency declaration for severe monsoon storms and flooding. The action expands access to chapter emergency funds and directs transportation officials to seek federal emergency assistance. Officials say flooding has damaged roads and other infrastructure, displaced residents and created continuing public health and safety risks.
