KAIBETO, Ariz. – The Western Agency Council meeting was focused on critical issues like drought conditions, road improvements, and senior citizen development.
Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren and Division Directors attended the meeting, engaging with chapter officials and community members from 17 chapters.
Chapter officials and community members shared their experiences and challenges regarding water scarcity, emphasizing the need for sustainable solutions.
Road infrastructure was highlighted as essential for safe transportation and access to services. President Nygren assured attendees of his commitment to addressing these concerns.
“The voices of our chapter officials are valuable as we work together to address the pressing issues affecting our Navajo Nation communities,” said President Nygren.
Senior citizen buildings and development was another critical topic, with advocates calling for programs and services to improve the quality of life for the elderly.
The President appreciated the feedback and promised continued collaboration with local leaders to resolve these issues.
Members of the 25th Navajo Nation Council, including Brenda Jesus, Shaandiin Parrish, Otto Tso, Helena Nez Begaye, and Casey Allen Johnson, also attended the meeting.
