WINDOW ROCK — Navajo Nation President Nygren has approved a $146,000 service contract with Laguna Creek LLC, a Navajo-owned company, to design, develop, and launch a new short-term rental booking platform that will support tourism, hospitality, and economic development across the Navajo Nation.

The project will create a fully functional online booking website similar to popular lodging platforms, allowing property owners and hosts to list accommodations while enabling guests to search, view, and reserve available properties. The platform will feature booking management tools, secure payment processing, administrative oversight capabilities, and optimized functionality for both desktop and mobile users.

Laguna Creek LLC is a Navajo-owned, Priority 1 Software as a Service (SaaS) company listed on the Navajo Nation Source Listing. The company is dedicated to strengthening Native tourism and hospitality opportunities and contributes 10 percent of its net revenue to Indigenous charitable events on Indigenous lands.

President Nygren expressed his support for the agreement and the continued growth of Navajo-owned businesses across the Nation.

“This contract reflects our commitment to supporting Navajo-owned businesses and investing in innovative solutions that create economic opportunities for our people,” said President Nygren. “Laguna Creek LLC is demonstrating how Navajo entrepreneurs can use technology to strengthen tourism, support local hosts, and showcase the beauty and culture of our Nation to visitors from around the world.”

The project is expected to be completed within approximately 8 to 16 weeks and will provide a secure, user-friendly platform designed to expand lodging opportunities while promoting tourism and economic growth throughout the Navajo Nation.
