Come out for an evening of movement, family and community at the Indigenous Milk Medicine 5K Run & Stroller Walk on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in Window Rock.
Held in celebration of Navajo Breastfeeding Month, this family-friendly event will highlight the importance of milk medicine while promoting healthy families, wellness and community connection.
The evening will include a special proclamation presentation by Navajo Nation President Dr. Buu Nygren and First Lady Jasmine Blackwater-Nygren, reaffirming their commitment to supporting breastfeeding families across the Navajo Nation.
The event will take place at the Window Rock Cinema Parking Lot, with on-site registration and the Health Fair beginning at 5:30 p.m. MDT. The 5K Run & Walk begins at 6 p.m., along with an approximately one-mile accessible family walk for those looking for a shorter option.
Bring the family, lace up your running shoes, grab the stroller and join us for an evening dedicated to health, culture and supporting Navajo families.
