On Tuesday, August 11, President Buu Nygren joined Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and Hopi Tribe Chairman Lamar B. Keevama to sign a historic Memorandum of Understanding that strengthens economic resilience across the Four Corners region.
This first-of-its-kind partnership ensures the Navajo Nation has a seat at the table in shaping the future of coal-impacted communities while protecting Tribal sovereignty. Together, the three governments will collaborate on economic development, workforce planning, infrastructure, and new opportunities that support families and communities for generations to come.
By working together today, we are building a stronger, more resilient tomorrow.
