The Navajo Nation has eased wildfire restrictions following improved weather conditions. President Buu Nygren signed Executive Order Number 05-2026, lifting Stage 2 Fire Restrictions and returning the Nation to Stage 1 restrictions. Officials say recent rainfall, cooler temperatures, calmer winds, and higher humidity have reduced fire danger. Stage 1 restrictions remain in place as wildfire season continues, and residents are encouraged to remain cautious to help prevent human-caused fires.
