WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. – Set for July 6, the Cody Jesus Invitational gears up for its second annual event with the help of Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren.
On June 10, the Division of Economic Development hosted a sponsorship luncheon for the Cody Jesus invitational.
President Nygren collaborated with Zion Enterprises and DED to continue his support of Cody Jesus and inspiring young riders.
“Some people may see it as senseless riding,” said President Nygren. “But, when you see young people like Cody Jesus making a name for the Navajo Nation and then coming home to be here for his community, especially the young ones, it’s hope.”
This year, Jesus said he wants to ensure all the riders, including the juniors, pay no fee to ride and they can win big.
“Thank you to our Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren. Whenever we need support, there he is,” said Deana Jackson with Zion Enterprise, an event planner for the invitational.
