BRIMHALL, N.M. — The Navajo Nation continues investing in projects that improve quality of life for elders and local communities. A Small Project Contract totaling $132,521.23 was approved for renovations and construction work at the Coyote Canyon Senior Center in Brimhall, New Mexico.
Under the agreement, Four Season’s Construction, LLC will construct a new 30-foot by 30-foot gazebo near the Senior Center as part of the Coyote Canyon Senior Center Gazebo Project (A22G2008). The project is designed to create a welcoming outdoor gathering place for community seniors while supporting wellness, social interaction, and community activities.
The gazebo will provide a protected outdoor space for elders to gather, socialize, and participate in organized events while also promoting physical activity and mental well-being through access to nature and fresh air. The structure is planned to be durable and weather-resistant, offering protection from the sun, rain, and wind.
“This project is about creating spaces where our elders can come together comfortably and safely,” said Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren. “Our seniors carry knowledge, language, and tradition that strengthen our communities, and investments like this help ensure they have places that support connection, wellness, and community life.”
Project work includes site preparation, concrete pad installation, framing, roofing, finishing work, and restoration of the project area following construction. Work will begin after issuance of the Notice to Proceed letter, with Four Season’s Construction, LLC given 365 calendar days to complete the project.
Four Season’s Construction, LLC is a Navajo-owned small business specializing in residential and commercial construction services across the Navajo Nation.
