Last night, I had the honor of joining community members in Tonalea for the Just Move It run at Slim Horse Race Track. It was a beautiful evening to spend time with our people and get some good miles in together.
I always enjoy participating in Just Move It because these events bring our communities together through health, encouragement, and wellness. It was inspiring to see so many families, runners, walkers, and community members supporting one another throughout the evening. Opportunities like this remind us how important it is to stay active, connected, and committed to healthy living.
I want to sincerely thank the workers, volunteers, and organizers who helped make the event possible. From passing out fruit and water to cheering on participants along the route, your efforts continue to make a positive impact in our communities and encourage healthier lifestyles across the Navajo Nation.
Just Move It continues to be an important pillar for health and fitness for our people. T’áá Hwó’ Ají T’éego!
The Just Move It series continues throughout 2026.
Upcoming JMI events:
• May 26 — Klagetoh Chapter & Hidden Springs
• May 27 — Tooh Haltsooi Chapter
• May 28 — Winslow Indian Healthcare Center
Ahéhee’ to everyone who came out to Tonalea last night. I’m already looking forward to the next run.
