WINDOW ROCK — The Navajo Nation has awarded a $226,220.07 construction contract to Four Season’s Construction, LLC for renovation work at the Newcomb Chapter House, including roof repair and related improvements designed to preserve and enhance the facility for community use.
The Small Project Contract was approved under Navajo Nation procurement requirements and will become effective upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Under the agreement, the contractor will have 365 calendar days to complete the project, with the contract term extending through June 30, 2026.
The renovation project reflects the Nygren Administration’s continued commitment to maintaining and improving public facilities that serve local chapters and community members. Chapter houses play an essential role in delivering services, hosting community meetings, supporting local governance, and providing gathering spaces for residents.
To protect the Navajo Nation’s investment, the contract includes strict performance standards, bonding requirements, insurance coverage, warranty provisions, and oversight measures. The contractor is required to maintain performance and payment bonds, carry comprehensive liability insurance, and comply with all Navajo Nation laws, regulations, and licensing requirements throughout the duration of the project. In addition, the contract provides strong accountability measures, including audit rights, retainage requirements, and provisions allowing the Navajo Nation to terminate the agreement for nonperformance, lack of funding, or failure to comply with contractual obligations.
Upon completion, the improvements are expected to extend the life of the Newcomb Chapter House facility and provide a safer, more reliable environment for chapter operations and community activities.
The Navajo Nation continues to invest in infrastructure improvements that strengthen local communities, preserve public assets, and support quality services for residents across the Navajo Nation.
