Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren is looking forward to attending the upcoming Dash For Cash Authentic Horse Race on May 9, 2026, in Teec Nos Pos, Arizona.
The annual event, known for its 32+ mile endurance relay format, brings together riders and horses from across the Navajo Nation, showcasing strength, discipline, and the enduring tradition of Diné horsemanship. Teams of riders and horses will take on the challenging course that stretches across the Northern Navajo landscape, continuing a tradition that has grown into a highly anticipated community gathering.
President Nygren has attended the event over the past four years and values the opportunity to connect with riders, families, and organizers who help carry this tradition forward.
“I’ve had the honor of attending Dash For Cash over the past four years, and I’m looking forward to another great race,” said President Nygren. “I look forward to visiting with the riders and seeing the strength and dedication they bring to this tradition.”
The event will take place in Teec Nos Pos and remains a drug and alcohol-free gathering that celebrates culture, community, and competition.
