As George McGraw, CEO and Founder of DigDeep, prepares to retire in May 2026, I want to recognize his visionary leadership and the lasting impact of his work—expanding access to water not only across the country, but for communities throughout the Navajo Nation.

I also extend my appreciation for the invitation to attend his farewell celebration held on March 26, marking this important milestone.

Through DigDeep, Mr. McGraw helped shift national awareness by bringing attention to the reality that millions of Americans who still live without access to clean, running water. His efforts elevated this issue and helped drive meaningful action to address it.

Since 2014, the Navajo Water Project has grown from serving a single family in Thoreau, N.M. into a multi-state initiative supporting hundreds of Diné households. In New Mexico alone, more than 250 families across nine communities now have reliable access to clean water, improving daily life and long-term well-being.

I extend my sincere appreciation to Mr. McGraw for his service, his vision, and his commitment to community-driven solutions. His legacy will continue through the systems, partnerships, and opportunities he helped build for future generations.

On behalf of the Navajo Nation, thank you!
