WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. – Navajo Nation Veterans Administration invites the community to a special Gathering of Prayer dedicated to supporting the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Active-Duty service members, veterans, and their families.

The event will take place on March 6, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., at Veterans Memorial Park.

In light of current tensions between the United States and regions outside the continental United States, many families are experiencing heightened worry, stress, and uncertainty regarding military movement and deployment. This gathering is intended to provide comfort and reassurance during this difficult time.

The morning event will focus on prayer, reflection, and traditional support, bringing together community members in unity and strength. Attendees will have access to mental health resources and information, as well as opportunities to connect with veterans services and support networks.

The Navajo Nation Veterans Administration recognizes the sacrifices made not only by service members, but also by their families. This gathering offers a space for healing, encouragement, and solidarity.

All community members are welcome to attend and stand together in prayer and support for those who serve and protect our nation.

“To our active duty service members, veterans, and the families who stand beside them – In times of tension across the world, remember that you are held in the prayers of our people and protection of our sacred mountains,” said President Nygren. “Like the rising sun that brings renewed light each morning, may you find hope even in uncertain days. We stand with you in unity and gratitude. No matter the distance or challenge, you are never alone. Our songs and prayers travel with you.”
