The Window Rock Lady Scouts entered the Final Four with a 20–9 overall record and a 7–5 region finish, facing a talented Alchesay team that came in 22–10 overall and 6–4 in region play. With a berth in the 3A State Championship on the line, both teams delivered a competitive, high-energy contest worthy of the stage.
Alchesay won the opening tip and immediately brought intensity on both ends of the floor. The first quarter featured strong perimeter shooting, aggressive drives, and momentum swinging back and forth, with Window Rock holding a narrow 16–15 lead after one.
In the second quarter, the Lady Scouts gained rhythm through disciplined defense and timely scoring, creating separation and heading into halftime with a 25–18 advantage.
The third quarter saw Alchesay respond with determination. The Falcons knocked down key outside shots and battled inside to close the gap, tying the game 32–32 heading into the fourth quarter after a late basket energized the crowd.
In the final period, Window Rock executed down the stretch. Strong defensive stops, composure at the free-throw line, and key possessions in the closing minutes secured a 50–42 victory.
We are incredibly proud of the Window Rock Lady Scouts for their resilience, unity, and determination in advancing to the state title game. At the same time, we commend the Alchesay Lady Falcons for their hard-fought effort, competitive spirit, and the heart they displayed throughout this Final Four matchup.
Congratulations to the Window Rock Lady Scouts on advancing to the 3A State Championship!
