WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — On behalf of the Navajo Nation, President Buu Nygren congratulates Rocker Steiner on earning the 2025 World Bareback Riding Championship following an outstanding 90.5-point ride at the National Finals Rodeo.

At just 21 years old, Rocker’s performance in Round 10 secured the world title and marked a defining moment in professional rodeo. Raised in a legendary rodeo family, Rocker has carried forward a proud legacy rooted in a deep respect for the sport.

“Rocker rode right here in Window Rock last July during the Navajo Nation’s PRCA Rodeo, and today he stands as a world champion,” said Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren. “His journey is a powerful reminder that champions are made—and come through—Window Rock. We should be incredibly proud that one of our rodeos helped shape a future world champion.”

The Navajo Nation looks forward to welcoming Rocker back to Window Rock in the future and supporting him as he competes once again on the Nation.

“I am proud of Rocker for demonstrating to our Navajo youth that hard work and discipline can lead to greatness,” added President Nygren. “He is a powerful reminder that our young people can rise to any challenge, regardless of how large the challenge.”
