I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Pastor Robert Tso of Shiprock’s Victory Life Church on Saturday, December 6. This is a heartbreaking loss for his family, his church, and the entire Shiprock community.

I knew Pastor Tso as a true man of God and a longtime friend. He was someone whose presence lifted you, whose prayers strengthened you, and whose faith never wavered. His kindness, his humility, and the sincerity of his walk with Christ touched so many lives across our Nation.

Before his many years of ministry, Pastor Tso served this country with honor as a Vietnam Veteran. The courage, discipline, and selflessness he carried from his military service were the same qualities he brought to his pulpit, his counseling, and his leadership. He prayed with families in their hardest moments, he spoke life and hope into people who felt lost, and he showed unwavering compassion to all who sought him out.

Today, we mourn the loss of a pastor, a veteran, and a leader whose impact reached far beyond the walls of his church. But we also honor the legacy he leaves behind: a legacy rooted in faith, service, and love for his people.

My prayers are with the Tso family and everyone who is hurting during this difficult time. May God bring you peace, healing, and strength in the days ahead. The only comfort we have in a moment like this is knowing he is in Heaven with his Heavenly Father. We can find peace in knowing he is with Jesus.

Pastor Tso will be deeply missed, and his life will continue to inspire many.
