The beautiful Blue Spruce, which naturally grows at elevations of 8,000 to 11,000 feet across the Rocky Mountains, is a rare sight on the Navajo Nation, found mostly in the Chuska Mountains.
This year, one of these remarkable trees now stands proudly at the Navajo Nation Veteran’s Memorial Park, ready to welcome visitors to the Office of the President and bring joy throughout the winter season.
A heartfelt thank you to the Division of Natural Resources, Executive Director Mike Halona, Forestry Manager Alex Becenti, and the entire Forestry crew for harvesting this year’s special Christmas tree with such efficiency and care. Despite the cold weather, their dedication and holiday spirit shone through.
The Office of the President will soon begin decorating our seasonal tree, so stay tuned for details on the upcoming Tree Lighting festivities!
