We understand that many families are facing food shortages due to recent challenges, including limited SNAP funding. Please know that help is available. Our Navajo Nation programs and community partners continue to provide food support and resources to ensure families have access to healthy meals. Below are current food distribution sites and schedules across local chapters:
Local Food Banks:
- November 7: The Roadrunner Food Bank will bring its mobile food bank to the San Juan Chapter
- November 14: The Roadrunner Food Bank will bring its mobile food bank to Shiprock Chapter
- November 18: St Mary’s Food Bank will bring its mobile unit to Sweetwater Chapter
- November 20: St Mary’s Food Bank will bring its mobile unit to Cove Chapter AND at Chinle High School from 9-11am in Chinle, AZ.
- November 25: St Mary’s Food Bank will be at Chinle Neighborhood Food Center in Chinle, AZ from 12PM-2PM
Navajo Nation WIC Program:
- Will continue to serve current clients through November.

Chapter House Food Distribution Sites:
- Chilchinbeto: On the 1st Tuesday of each month, the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) will bring its mobile pantry distribution from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM.
- Kaibeto: Mobile Pop-Up Pantry at Covenant of Faith (Full Gospel) on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Kayenta: St. Mary’s Food Bank Mobile Distribution at Vendors Village on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays from 12 PM – 2 PM. Senior Food Boxes available during the same hours.
- Shonto: Mobile Pantry at Shonto Preparatory School on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays from 10 AM – 1:30 PM
- Tonalea: The Emergency Food Assistance Program at Tonalea Chapter House on the 3rd Monday of the month from 1 PM – 4 PM
- Additional nearby options including Inscription House (4th Monday) and the Patrick Scott Foundation (1st Wednesday)
