In accordance with 2 N.N.C. § 162 (B), I am requesting a Special Session to consider
emergency Legislation No. 0224-25, relating to an emergency for the Navajo Nation
Council and amending Resolution No. CS-44-25. The purpose of the emergency
legislation is to adequately fund the Executive Branch in the FY2026 Comprehensive
Budget. Vice Chair Casey Allen Johnson is sponsoring the legislation.
It is imperative that the Navajo Nation Council meet immediately to ensure the Executive
Branch is adequately funded starting on October 1, 2025. As such I request the special
session be called for Monday, September 29, 2025.
