The line items that were vetoed were chosen with care to bring Council back to the table in hopes that they will choose to adequately fund the Judicial Branch, Legislative Branch, and Executive Branch.
As of today, Council has 14 days to pass a resolution amending the comprehensive budget to fully meet the needs of the People. In other words, Council has the power to fix the budget before October 1st. I hope they do, and I’m prepared to sign the necessary amendments.
