As part of my efforts to meet with most of our Navajo Nation Chapters, I visited the Many Farms chapter house on Monday, August 11, to discuss solutions with local leadership, including a conversation with Speaker Crystalyne Curley.

Some of our conversations centered around issues related to ARPA projects, road projects, NHA housing, senior centers, public safety, and chapter deficiencies.

There were at least 22 action items, and we were only able to cover 16 with local leadership. I am reassured that the chapter leadership of the Nygren-Montoya Administration will do its best to follow up and write a support letter for projects that were discussed at this meeting.

We began around 1:30 p.m. and concluded at 4:30 p.m. Having these in-depth conversations allows all my staff and me to provide direct responses and solutions to community needs and concerns. In doing so, we can ensure open communication and move projects forward.

Thank you to my division directors for providing responses that answered the chapter’s questions. Meetings like these help my administration, Council, and communities work together to ensure each chapter’s needs are being met and addressed.

I look forward to visiting more chapters in the next year by working together to ensure our Navajo People are receiving proper assistance and care.
