The Oak Ridge Fire has grown to over 1,800 acres and is currently moving in a southeast direction. Residents are urged to avoid close contact with anyone who is sick and to follow public health recommendations while relocating.
Please remember to grab your emergency go-kit, including any specific needs for your family, pets, or livestock. Stay informed by monitoring updates from public safety and public health officials, as this may be the only notice you receive.
The three steps encourage Arizonans to get READY by preparing now for what threatens their community, be SET by maintaining awareness of significant danger and to GO, evacuate immediately when the danger is current and life-threatening.
Emergency services cannot guarantee timely notification if conditions worsen rapidly. Be prepared to go if necessary.
The nearby El Paso gas station has been cleared and is considered safe at this time.

FAMILIES ON “READY, SET, GO” STATUS: The “ready-set-go for evacuations” is still in effect, which means families should continue to stay vigilant and ready to evacuate. Families are encouraged to evacuate for their safety until the fire is fully contained and to seek shelter with other family members for now.
EVENT CENTER WILL BE OPEN ALL DAY: The Bee Hółdzil Fighting Scouts Events Center in Fort Defiance is the official evacuation shelter for families. Donations can be dropped off there.
