Diné Bizaad carries the stories, values, and worldview of the Diné people. To help support Navajo language learning across all generations, Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren and his team are launching a new online language resource available to the public.

“Each month, I share a story in Diné Bizaad because our language carries our identity as Navajo people. When we read it, speak it, and pass it on, we keep our identity, our teachings, and our future strong,” said President Nygren.

This platform will feature monthly original stories in Diné Bizaad, paired with audio, allowing learners to hear correct pronunciation, rhythm, and meaning directly from fluent speakers. These stories are intended to support listening, reading, and everyday language use.

Over time, the page will expand to include:

  • Vocabulary lessons connected to daily life, community, and culture
  • Conversational Navajo to support practical, real-world use
  • Short explanations to assist beginner and intermediate learners

Language revitalization is a shared responsibility. Through this initiative, the Office of the President reaffirms its commitment to preserving and strengthening Diné Bizaad for future generations — honoring the teachings of our ancestors while creating learning opportunities for today’s youth and families.

Yá’át’ééh — welcome, and thank you for learning with us.
