WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — On the opening day of the 2023 Spring Session of the 25th Navajo Nation Council in Window Rock, Vice President Richelle Montoya welcomed several student leaders from Pinon High School to her office.
She shared an inspirational story to the young Diné women to be resilient, to fight for what’s right, and to be the leaders needed today. The Vice President also encouraged the young men in the group to be kind, understanding, compassionate, and to honor Ké.
Following her meeting, she joined President Nygren and Councilwoman Germaine Simonson to walk with Page High School and Pinon High School students to the Council Chambers as a show of unity for generational leadership.
Throughout the next few months, Vice President Montoya will be attending graduation ceremonies and receptions across Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
